Trust goes both ways. Trust is something that requires you to open yourself up to hurt. Love is also that way. It’s always a gamble, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Allies, friends, lovers, and enemies alike are all born from the same first moment of vulnerability. Following that ends one of two ways, winning or losing. That’s just the truth. But the person who never opens themself up to the possibility of failure never opens themself up to the possibility of success either. Fortune favors the bold, it’s been said.
